About Coach Acie Earl
Acie was a high school 3rd team All State in the state of Illinois ending up being ranked 79th by Street-Smiths Magazine. Continuing his career at the University of Iowa, Acie was a 3 year starter, Playboy Pre Season All American, plus 2nd leading career scorer at Iowa. In his Junior year, Acie was Chicago Tribune's Big Ten Player of the Year. He is the All Time shot block leader at Iowa and holds over 22 game, season and career records. Acie was th 19th pick in the 1st round of the '93 draft with the Boston Celtics. Acie played 4 years in the NBA with the Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors (holds 5 franchise records). Also for 8 years Acie played overseas in such notable basketball countries such as Serbia/Montenegro, Australia, Spain, Greece, France, Turkey, etc. Last year Acie was a head coach in the ABA with the Tijuana Dragones in Mexico. This year Acie has been hired to be an assistant coach for the Rockford Lightning in the CBA. Acie also holds a B.S. Degree in Leisure Studies, where he studied positive reinforcement and skill development in adults and children. Acie feels with this type of experience and understanding of the game at all major levels, your child will have a great chance to succeed at any level.
Acie's program is proven for success. He ran his own kids camp for 3-12th graders for six years in Dubuque, Iowa. Acie has been doing motivational and guest appearances at camps, clinics and schools for over 15 years. Acie has logged in over 400 volunteer hours for his undergrad major alone. If your child's skills are lacking in any areas, then this program is for your child.
